"She's getting it cut out tomorrow"

Those are the incredibly delicate words of my sweet and loving husband to our Bishop today at church. "Is he always this sensitive?" the Bishop asked. Yes, sir that's my man. Straight to the point. My stomach still hurts from laughing.

What's a girl to wear?

This is the "coming home" outfit for the moment. But since I still have four more days to decide, it could change a good three or four times between now and then. It's been way too much fun to go shopping for a little girl. (the big green bow is to go on a headband or cap - it's not attached to the top).

And I swore I'd never do it, but the blog needed a facelift, and I love stacey's "love, the murdocks," so I completely copied her idea for a tagline. But we're cool like that, check out her version of my bedsheet curtains, they look amazing! Be sure to take a look at her cute blog and amazing photos!

It's a....

Girl!
And she already loves to accessorize. Yay! And a girl means a lot less painting to do in the nursery. :) David was right with his 100% guarantee.

We went to a clinic north of our house for the u/s, this time because Karrie told me they had plasma screen tvs to watch your u/s on, and gave you a free DVD and also a bunch of pics. They were great! The place I have been going to has the monitors on the fritz, so everyone can see (on the tech's screen) but me! No fair!

I had originally booked an appt in the bad screen place, then found the new place had an appt at the same time, same day, so I opted for the better place closer to David's work. The crappy place then called three times to tell me my doc said I wasn't allowed to go "all the way" to the better place (which is actually closer to my house). I called my doc, and he said that was not true.

So, I showed up for my appt and heard the phone ring, and it was the crappy u/s place calling the nice u/s place to see if I was there and tell them I wasn't allowed to be there!

I assured the receptionist that "crappy u/s place" was lying, and that it was all just fine with my doc.

The new place is great! I owe Karrie for suggesting it. I'll post the DVD as soon as I figure out how to convert the file format. It's a little boring since I didn't drink any OJ or eat any sugar beforehand (didn't want her moving around too much so we could find out all the "details").

And I've been told I'm not "allowed" to post the "evidence" that's she's a girl. If you want to see those pics you'll have to come for a visit. "Somebody" is a protective papa already...

Whoops.

I got to go to the ER on Friday to get checked out for appendicitis or kidney infection, etc. I had pain on my right side (where they have said the last five months that I should be in pain from my cysts - and to go to the ER right away if I felt anything), so I went it. They gave me an IV, for dehydration, did another ultrasound to check on Peanut - who was dancing away - checked my blood etc. Baby was too wiggly for them to see what is was, but the ultrasound tech may have given me a clue. Ok, she flat out gave me a huge clue. But I'm not telling. Be sure to cast your vote on the sidebar on the blog before the big day!

Dave is convinced "100 percent" that it's a girl. He gave me his own personal guarantee. Too bad he wasn't at the ER to hear the clue they gave me. Guess we'll see who's right. I voted boy last Monday.

Kick off

Just walked home from a neighbor's house (I've owed her $20 for about half a million lbs of frozen chicken we shared when we bought it on mega sale), and I've officially now got "flicks" and "pops" going on from the little jumping bean. My online prego friends have confirmed that it's the baby, so obviously it must be true. ;)

I came home from taking some pictures of a cute family yesterday morning and Dave had moved all the furniture around, and set up the baby room. He was fast. There was a TON of stuff to move and it wasn't light. So I will have to post some more photos soon.

16 weeks...

And Peanut has graduated to the size of an avacado.

In case you wanted to see the real thing...

And not just the photo below from the JCP catalog. Here's a slightly blurry pic of the un assembled crib, and equally blurry pic of the dresser. They're hanging out in the basement right now, waiting for me to swap all the furniture in my office (soon to be baby room) to the new office (formerly guest room). It will be a lot of heavy lifting.

Oh?! You wanted to see pics of the baby? The star of the show? I guess I should post those too! I'm hoping you are an expert ultrasound reader, cause these were even hard for me. Peanut decided to hang out on his/her belly. Oh, and have I mentioned Peanut has 6 toes? Or so Dave likes to think.....and also point out to all the neighbors and friends. Next time I'll try to take a video; it was so much easier to see moving. In fact Peanut was moving around tons thanks to all the OJ I drank (good internet tip) right before. It was awesome to see little froggy legs kicking all around, especially since I still can't feel anything yet. (click on the images to see larger)

15 weeks

But for the record I want you to know that "peanut" is actually 4 oz today (just got measured in an ultrasound)! Not a measley 2.5 like this orange. But that puts him technically in between an avacado and an onion size wise..... I knew you were curious.

14 weeks...

So I'm a little confused. Last week "baby" was the size of a "peach." This week it's the size of a lemon? I think we need a poll on which is bigger. Or perhaps the writers of this article never saw a GA peach.

One of those "crib things"

So our crib came last night. We got a good deal at JCPenny online over labor day (great sale and free shipping on a hardwood crib). The only problem is that the crib had blue writing in permanent marker on the top of the back rail. We ordered a white crib; not the espresso pictured. So within half an hour we had it packed back up and taken back to the store. The matching dresser was supposed to be back ordered for another month, but came in today. It was all assembled, so Dad and David carried it in and we took a look. I think it's a keeper.

2 + 1 = 3

So we've been pretty busy lately surprising people with the news that we're expecting. I'm pretty happy that people at work aren't guessing yet, since I feel huge (but apparently don't look it yet), and they can't believe I'm already due in March. Our little peanut is now the size of a fist, and busy kicking and swimming around - even though I can't feel him yet.
