David has a gallery show opening on Feb 19th in Scottsdale, AZ and has been busy prepping for it, framing, painting, painting, painting, painting..... (but then again, that's nothing new). I wish I could go see it, but I don't think I will be allowed to fly that late. If you pick up your latest Feb copy of

Those are the incredibly delicate words of my sweet and loving husband to our Bishop today at church. "Is he always this sensitive?" the Bishop asked. Yes, sir that's my man. Straight to the point. My stomach still hurts from laughing.

Or maybe it's infamous? Just kidding. Depends on who you ask I suppose. He just got featured in "American Artist" in an article called "David Malan: Storytelling With Figures." This particular painting is of my cute sister in law Elle who also has a great art blog. Anyway, be sure to check out the article to see some more of his new work.
