our little biped

She's getting big! And mobile! Last saturday was our official introduction into the world of having a "toddler." She's been walking around holding the walls, couch, legs, chairs, and anything she can hang onto for a couple months now, but once David dangled a carrot in front of her she let go and started cruising around on her own two feet.

I also took some cute pics of her at 9.5 months (above) but have yet to shrink them all down for the web, and I've started having to put a watermark on them. More to come soon. I've got some major deadlines (again), and Penny was kind enough to suck on my computer power cord and bust it for me, so I'm farther behind than I'd like to be.

(If you get this in an email make sure to click here to go to the blog and see the videos)

She had been faithfully practicing her monster noises in the video below, but stopped the second I got out the camera.

She is so adorable. Thanks for your comment and Holmes Homes did the trim work. Jeff works for them and they built the house so it made it easy.

According to Sam it is ridiculously easy to get rid of other peoples' watermarks . . . better watch out or we might start claiming Penny as OUR baby! :)

That pic of Penny with the pearls is awesome! I need you to take my next set of pics of Elizabeth. I haven't done her 1 year pics yet. Can you believe Penny's almost 1?!!

My friend Skye told me about your blog, and I'm so glad she did. I love looking at all of your pictures, especially your babies room. I'm working on mine right now and it's a great inspiration. You are very talented!
Did you make her rug?

Kate! Hey! I love your photos!!! Congratulations on the new little one coming soon!

I did make the rug. It's from a pattern I found on etsy. It's called the fleur playmat (more info here: http://seejanescrapbook.blogspot.com/2009/03/fleur-playmat.html). I think it's my favorite thing in her room! PS I'm totally jealous of your trip to see the matilda jane spring line!

Hi! So you don't know me...but I wanted to ask you about your chandelier. Did your Dad paint it by hand or did he spray it? I fell in love with a chandelier but they sold out in the color I wanted. I was thinking about buying it anyway when I stumbled across your blog. Please let me know. Thanks so much :)

Lucrecia - hey! I've done both. The pink one is spray painted (take off all crystals and beads first, and tape off all electrical, etc), and the tiffany blue one was hand painted with oil paint and a sable brush. I will never hand paint one again! I did that one first and I wanted a specific color that they didn't make in spray paint yet. Which chandelier are you going to get? I love looking at lights!

It's the Lauren chandelier from Pottery Barn Teen. I did want it it in Antique White but after seeing yours I think I might go crazy and do a really fun color. Thanks so much!
